Worked with the children at KId's Club in North Seattle from 1pm-4pm on Sunday, November 17. There were more children than usual but luckily there were two other volunteers and a lovely staff member to help out.

Because the top floor of North Seattle is being renovated, last Monday's Tot's Club was cancelled and we took the children on a field trip to the MoPop instead. The field trip ran longer than Tot's Club usually does, so instead of 3 hours (9am-12pm) I ended up (happily) volunteering for 6 hours (9am-3pm).
On Sunday, Nov. 3rd, I volunteered 1pm to 4pm at the North Seattle location Kid's Club. I supervised the children during play time, engaged with their dramatic play, mediated peer conflicts, handed out snack, and oversaw clean-up time.
I left another note with the man at the front desk to get my hours confirmed but the Mary's Place website had only logged three hours of my nine (as of 11/4/19). I believe this is because the man working the front desk on Sundays doesn't have access to the log-in that tracks hours. Not sure how to remedy this.
I volunteered at Kid's Club (5+) at the North Seattle location from 3pm to 6pm. I helped the children with an art project and engaged in free play with them.
Note: When I checked in at the front desk the man working said he couldn't log in to the computer to log my hours. He wrote down my name on a piece of paper but it doesn't look like the hours were logged on the Mary's Place website.
Overall, volunteering at the North Seattle location Kid's Club was incredibly rewarding. I was able to interact with and play with the children for three hours last Sunday,. I greatly enjoyed the experience and am looking forward to returning. Thank you to Imani for showing me the ropes.
